Planning Your Daily Routine

A major part of living a healthy lifestyle is keeping up with your skincare routines. That means you follow your schedule on a daily level and stick with it. When you don’t know what you’re about to do every day and you just go with the flow and don’t plan your schedule, a lot of things get neglected as you just can’t make the time for it all. Also, you spend time every day thinking about what to do next, and sometimes it takes a lot of your time as well. When you have a plan that repeats itself over and over, it is much easier to operate accordingly and maintain it for the long run. Here are a few tips for how to plan your daily routine.

Start with the Important Things

Starting with the important things as you build your healthy lifestyle routine is pretty obvious. But, what are the important things? Work? Daily basics such as eating, sleeping, and taking a shower? What about quality time with our family? What about working out? And what about seeing our friends? Make a list of the important things for you and work with that. And as you build your schedule, allow more time for the important things but not all of your time – leave some time for the other things on your list as well.

Prefer a Weekly Routine over a Daily Routine

When you build a daily routine you will find it extremely hard to make time for everything on your list. Obviously, you can’t do it all in one day. Therefore, it is best to make a longer routine, such as a weekly routine or even a monthly routine. That way you can spread your time to include everything that is important to you. Before filling in the schedule, write down the frequency you wish to allow for each detail on your list – then it will be easier to fill the schedule with it.

Here’s an example of a list to follow for a weekly routine:

Work – 5 days a week, 8 hours per day

Eating – 3 times per day, every day

Sleeping – every day, 6 hours per day

Cooking healthy food for the entire week – once or twice a week for 3-4 hours

Working out – every day, 1 hour per day during the mornings

Spending quality time with my child – once a week going out for 3 hours

Date night with my spouse – every other week, 4 hours per date

Dinner with friends – once a month

Taking a shower – once a day, 30 min

Skin caring – twice a day, 10 min

When your list is full and detailed with all the things you wish to have time for every week or a month, it will become clear how you should fill your routine and plan it. in the beginning, it may be a little hard to follow your new healthy lifestyle routine, but if you stick to it, it will become easier with time and will allow you to have time for all the things you wish to do.
