3 Tips for Removing Your Makeup

We all love our makeup don’t we? We love it as every time we can shape our look to whatever it is we desire to look like – serious, sharp, sexy, mysterious… But, it is no mystery that our makeup might cause our skin dryness, it also blocks our pores, and may lead to other skin’s conditions. And that is why, removing the makeup should be a part of our skin care routine. Therefore, it is very important to properly remove the makeup after every use and before we hop into our bed. Here’s 3 tips for removing your makeup.

1 – Before Applying the Makeup

Removing the makeup properly starts way before. Actually, it starts with applying the makeup. And if we want to be able to properly remove the makeup, we have to apply it properly as well. Now, the idea is to take 3 small yet very important steps before applying our makeup.

Step one – we need to clean our skin with a facial cleanser. The makeup creates a sort of blocking layer upon our skin, you certainly don’t want to apply it on an uncleaned skin.

Step two – use face scrub about 2 to 3 times a week in order to exfoliate you skin. Deep cleaning will ensure your skin is clean and ready for your makeup.

Step three – now your face is ready to wear the makeup but, remember that makeup dries our skin so make sure that the first thing you apply is a moisturizer that will allow you a smooth base for the makeup and will keep your skin hydrated as well.

2 – The Timing

Second tip (or rule as we love to call it) for removing the makeup is the timing: always remove the makeup as soon as your day/evening ends – make it a part of your skin care routine. Meaning, when you get home after work or after a night out, remove the makeup without delays. We’ve already spoke about the fact that the makeup blocks our skin and that is why we should remove it as soon as we’re “done” with it. No matter how tiered you are, don’t go to bed with your makeup on. Remove it and allow your skin the moisture and the breather it needs in order to rejuvenate itself.

3 – Removing the Makeup

Removing your makeup properly is very much similar to preparing your skin for makeup. First, you need to wipe your face with a makeup removal wipes, which will make it easy on you with removing most of your makeup. Then, you should use cleanser that suits your skin’s type, massage it gently into your skin and rinse it thoroughly. Then use face scrub to exfoliate your skin. And eventually, apply your night cream or moisturizer.Properly removing your makeup may sounds too much to do but, if you’ll apply it into your skin care routine, it won’t take long to do, and it will allow your skin to be healthier and prettier.
